Yearbook Must Dos
What is Passion? Passion: Renewable Fuel for Success Passion is knowing what you want and stopping at nothing until you get it. Passion is an intrinsic, self-sustaining source of fuel for success. Passion often means being different, being a pioneer, and having new ideas. Passion is the driving force that keeps you going; it is the force that drives you forward. It is the vision of something better. The difference between someone who is on fire about what they're doing and someone who is just "doing their job" is night and day. http://faculty.css.edu/tboone2/asep/feb1.html http://curtrosengren.typepad.com/occupationaladventure/2005/01/passion_renewab.html What is Commitment? You can tell when someone is committed to a cause. It's in the attitude. The committed person asks, "What can I do to help? How can I do my best?" The person who asks, "What is the minimum I can do and still be part of this? What can I get by with?" is only trying to appear to be committed. The difference shows up in the attitude, and is readily observable. This rule applies to work, to home life, to college, to everything really. http://www.rmcrob.com/archives/00000093.html http://ctb.ku.edu/tools/en/sub_section_main_1136.htm ***** What is Maturity? Memory Book: The photos, headlines and captions in the yearbook preserve school memories for a lifetime. Years from now, students and their families will be able to recall these memories. In many schools, it is traditional for students to sign each other’s yearbooks. These autographs are fun to look back on years later. Reference Source: The yearbook should accurately document names, titles, honors and other relevant data. A copy of the yearbook should be archived in both the community and the school library for future reference. Community Builder: The yearbook is a wonderful way to build school spirit and pride. After all, it highlights what makes the school great—the people in it. Self-Esteem Booster: When children see themselves in the yearbook, it sends an important message: They are a special and a significant part of the school community. This is why it is crucial to feature every child in the yearbook. Educational Tool: The yearbook provides a fantastic learning opportunity for students. Students develop skills such as writing, design, photography, selling and more. Most importantly, they learn to work with others to achieve a common goal. Yearbook Basics ****** |
